一年一度的UCWDC将在美国举行(之二)

        前一讲我阐述了UCWDC全称；UCWDC的历史；UCWDC的宗旨；UCWDC的图标。今天，我继续给大家介绍一些UCWDC的其它内容。

5.UCWDC的作用和目标

       There is a place for both social dancers and competitors in the UCWDC family and our events provide educational, social and competitive opportunities. Our rules and judge certification process assure a consistent and fair competition platform for those who want a competitive environment.建立一个平台，使舞者和比赛者在UCWDC这个大家庭中，得到学习、交流和比赛的机会。我们有严谨的规则和通过资质考核的裁判，为公平、公正的竞赛提供了保证。Our top dancers are highly trained, dedicated athletes. The UCWDC is a member of the International Dancesport Federation and efforts are underway to make country western dancing an Olympic sport.我们的顶尖舞者都是经过严格训练，献身于舞蹈事业的专业舞者。我们UCWDC是国际体育舞蹈联合会的成员，我们正努力使乡村舞蹈能进入奥林匹克运动会。

6.UCWDC的比赛形式

       Pro-am, couples, line dance and team divisions are part of our competitive format.专业和业余配对，双人赛，排舞和团队赛是UCWDC主要的四种比赛方式。【编者按】这里只是讲了四种方式。如果按年龄、性别、水平、形式等等区分的话可以分成很多组别。

7.UCWDC比赛的舞种

       Country western music is written in a wide variety of rhythms. While our signature dance is two-step, our dances include familiar dances from ballroom and swing. In competition, our couples dance 8 dances: polka, triple two, nightclub, cha-cha, waltz, two step, east coast swing and west coast swing. The choreography chosen for our line dance competition is based on those same rhythms.西部乡村音乐有着多种节奏。虽然，二步舞曲是乡村音乐的标志性节奏，但我们的舞种大家庭在比赛中还包含舞厅舞、摇摆舞。双人赛的舞种有8种，它们是：波尔卡、二步舞的三连步、夜总会、恰恰、华尔兹、东海岸摇摆和西海岸摇摆。排舞也参照这8种舞进行比赛。

8.1World Championships世界竞标赛，地点：美国，时间：2017年12月31日至2018年1月7日

8.2Big ‘D’ Bash大“D”巴什，地点：美国，时间：2018年2月16日至19日

8.3Tulip Challenge郁金香挑战赛，地点：荷兰，时间：2018年3月9日至11日

8.4Peach State Country Western Dance Festival桃洲乡村西部舞蹈节，地点：美国，时间：2018年3月15日至18日

8.5Canadian Line Dance Classic加拿大经典排舞赛，地点：加拿大，时间：2018年3月16日至18日

8.6San Diego Dance Festival圣地亚哥舞蹈节，地点：美国，时间：3月29日至4月1日

8.7Oklahoma Dance Rush俄克拉荷马州舞蹈节，地点：美国，时间：4月5日至8日

8.8Calgary Dance Stampede卡里加里舞蹈节，地点：加拿大，时间：4月12日至15日

8.9Italian C/W Dance Classic意大利古典/摇摆经典舞蹈，地点：意大利，时间：4月13日至15日

8.10Detonation Dance爆炸性舞蹈，地点：英国，时间：跟2017年一样，补2017年未办

8.11MidAtlantic Dance Classic中大西洋经典舞，地点：美国，时间：2018年5月10日至13日

8.12Texas Classic德克萨斯经典舞，地点：美国，时间：5月17日至20日

8.13FreZno Dance Classic FreZno 经典舞，地点：美国，时间：2018年5月24日至28日

       太长了，不列了。一共是42项比赛。除了上面提到的国家美国，加拿大，意大利，还有挪威，韩国，法国，马来西亚，德国，爱尔兰，日本，立陶宛，共11个国家。
